They run on WatuOS in your own building, and a WatuOS installation carries every application in its edition. What you licence decides what runs — which is why adding a system later is a phone call, not a site visit.
| Application | What it does | Status |
|---|---|---|
| WatuHRM | Human resources and payroll — staff records, attendance, payroll with Tanzanian statutory rates, leave, loans, claims, training, performance, recruitment, discipline and assets. Version 3.3 ships sample data for 39 industries, from a parish to a mine, so a demonstration looks like the buyer's own organisation. Connected to WatuAccounts, each locked payroll goes to the books as a journal. | Available |
| WatuSchool | School ERP — students, staff, classes, fees, academics, examinations and reporting. | Available |
| WatuTime | Time and attendance from biometric terminals; clock-in, shifts and absence. | Available |
| WatuNet | Network and device register — what is on the network, who owns it, when it was serviced. | Available |
| WatuVisitor | Reception, visitor passes and the gate log. | Available |
| WatuAccounts | Accounting for any business, as easy to use as it should be: sales and purchases with Tanzanian VAT and withholding tax, EFD receipt numbers, banking and bank reconciliation, several currencies with the shilling as the base, fixed assets and depreciation, budgets, and reports to Excel and PDF — in English and Kiswahili. The centre of the Business Edition: the other applications send their invoices, bills and journals here. | In build |
| WatuCRM | Sales and marketing — leads, companies, a drag-and-drop pipeline, quotations with VAT, commissions, campaigns and the WATU MEMBER forecast. Version 1.3 connects to Watu Cloud: enrolment tokens from a won deal, each client's boxes and licence dates on the company page, and renewals as tasks. Connected to WatuAccounts, a won deal is invoiced in the books. | Available |
| WatuMEAL | Monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning, for NGO programme teams. | In build |
| WatuFleet | Fleet, transport and logistics for companies that run vehicles for a living — hauliers with trucks, trailers and tankers, bus companies, and large car fleets: fuel, trips, servicing, tyres, papers and what each vehicle really costs, with GPS trackers read through Traccar. Connected to WatuAccounts, every cost goes to the books tagged with the vehicle. Version 2.2: standalone today, and part of the Business Edition. | Available |
| WatuPOS | Point of sale for shops and supermarkets, restaurants and bars, pharmacies, hardware stores and wholesalers — a till for a touch screen, laptop or tablet that keeps selling when the server is down; cash, M-Pesa and other mobile money. Connected to WatuAccounts, every closed shift arrives in the books. Part of the Business Edition. | In build |
| WatuStock | Stores and inventory for stock kept in many places — warehouses, site and project stores, shops, vans, a clinic pharmacy — with bins, batches, serial numbers and the costing method you choose. It owns the stock quantities and their value, and posts every movement to WatuAccounts. Part of the Business Edition. | In build |
| WatuProcure | Procurement for organisations that buy a lot — the annual plan, requisitions checked against the budget, quotations and tenders with a sealed bid box, evaluation, awards, contracts, LPOs, imports, receiving and the 3-way match that sends the bill to the books. Part of the Business Edition. | In build |
| WatuProjects | Projects sold as work, for contractors, consultants and IT firms — the bill of quantities, a cost budget, timesheets, payment certificates with retention, variations and subcontractors, and every day where each project stands against plan and budget. Part of the Business Edition. | In build |
| WatuMake | Production for a factory — bills of materials, work orders from draft to closed, output, quality checks, and the actual cost of each order set against the standard. Works with WatuStock and WatuAccounts. Part of the Business Edition. | In build |
| WatuService | Field service and after-sales, for firms that install and service equipment at customers' sites — generators, solar systems, copiers: equipment registers, service contracts, tickets, technicians' visits and the parts they use. Part of the Business Edition. | In build |
| WatuKopesha | Core banking for microfinance institutions, SACCOs and VICOBA — loans with group lending and restructuring, savings, double-entry accounting, payroll, and Bank of Tanzania reporting. Runs hosted today; the WatuOS Microfinance Edition, to run it in the branch, is planned. Full details at watukopesha.com. | Available |
| WatuMembers | Membership organisations — registers, dues, communication. | Planned |
| WatuChurch | Congregations, giving, pastoral records and events. (Church and diocese payroll and HR already run on WatuHRM today.) | Planned |
Watu Lite is the Community Edition. It is not a demo, not a trial and not time-limited. You install it on your own computer, put your own data in it, and use it for as long as you like. Most organisations outgrow it, and that is exactly the plan.
